Frequently Asked Questions
What is cognitive behavioral therapy?
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term, structured approach that helps clients understand and change negative thought and behavioral patterns that can cause difficulties in daily life. CBT is effective for a wide range of problems such as anxiety, depression, stress management, and more.
What is the price and duration of a consultation?
At the Emotion office, a consultation costs 50 leva and lasts 60 minutes. This structure allows us to provide full attention and support for each client. In addition to the sessions, we provide homework assignments, strategies, and guidelines for you to apply in your daily life. These assignments and exercises are designed to support your progress and reinforce what you have learned between sessions, ensuring more effective and long-lasting results.
How many sessions are usually needed?
The number of sessions required depends on the specific problem and the goals you have set for yourself. Most people need between 6 and 12 sessions, but this can vary - they can be fewer or longer over time. Initially, we begin by assessing your needs and creating a therapeutic work plan.
Do you prescribe medications?
No, at Emotion Clinic we do not prescribe medication, as it can only be prescribed by a psychiatrist. However, if after a thorough assessment we determine that medication treatment would be beneficial for you, we may refer you to a psychiatrist for consultation and additional support.
Is everything we share confidential?
Yes, at Emotion Clinic we maintain strict confidentiality of the information you share during consultations. Conversations remain between you and your consultant, except in rare cases of potential threat to your or someone else's health and safety.
Who is psychological counseling at the "Emotion" office not suitable for?
Our office focuses on counseling for adults with emotional and psychological challenges, but we do not offer services for couples, children, or people with severe mental disorders who are not under medication. If you are seeking help for such a problem, we can refer you to appropriate specialists.
